He is now joined by Stephan Skov, acclaimed singer/songwriter and head music therapist at the Peter Mac Cancer Centre. Stephan brings remarkable wisdom to the topic of death having been present with many people at the end stage of their lives. He will discuss the importance of music as a part of this journey, as well as accompany the meditations with a live performance.
David and Stephan understand that a full life involves a much closer relationship with death than many of us currently have. Drawing on their own experiences, as well as lessons from historical influences such as the Stoics, the Samurai and the Tibetan Buddhist tradition of conscious dying, they will guide workshop participants through a powerful death-bed meditation as well as discuss the concepts and underlying philosophy of such a practice.
