A MOVEMBER FUNDRAISING EVENT
Exploring masculinity and femininity in our culture and in ourselves through yoga and meditation.
ABOUT "THE MO-MENT"
Sian Pascale and David Packman have created an intimate workshop specifically for Movember where men and women can come together in “The Mo-Ment” to create a unifying energetic wholeness. It will be a space to connect, share stories and ideas, practise yoga, breath and meditate.
“The Mo-Ment” offers an opportunity to reconnect with our true nature (doesn’t it always!), allowing us to live with unbridled love, passion, purpose and freedom of spirit. We are inviting both men and women to practise together with us, so come alone, or bring friends, lovers and family members with you as we explore the masculine and feminine aspects that reside within all of us.
This workshop offers a space for men to not only embrace their masculine energy and power, but also to be positively received in this space by the women in the room. Equally, it provides space for women to be fully open in their divine feminine while unconditionally loved by the men.
The workshop helps us discover and understand these innate qualities in the other, as well as within ourselves. The alignment of these divine energies provides an entry point into our heart-awakened authenticity, enabling us to drop all fear of expressing our deepest self.
After more than 20 years working with the world’s leading brands as a communications senior executive, a series of significant life events led David to shift gears. As a result, he founded The Fifth Direction and is now a qualified mindset coach and meditation guide. He is also a certified HeartMath and Wim Hof Method instructor with further qualifications in geobiology, epigenetics and the social psychology of sport. A regular speaker and facilitator at conferences and retreats, David is an editor at The Good Men Project and contributes to numerous other sports, lifestyle and wellbeing publications.
Sian Pascale is the Founder of The Light Collective. She is an experienced Tantric, Breath, Meditation and Yoga teacher. Her teachings draw from Mother India where she lived and trained for several years, learning through the hatha, ashtanga and tantric lineages. She teaches privately and collectively, locally and Internationally. Her self practise and dedication to the yogic path has allowed her to merge Ancient teachings into a modern language that everyone can access. She creates conscious experiences that reconnect her students with the rhythms and cycles of the natural world, in order to harness subtle vibration for deep shifts and expansive states of being.
The morning will begin with some basic exercises and guided meditations from David on masculinity. We will have a short break with time for sharing and connecting before moving into flow and breath work with Sian, exploring the nature of the feminine. Finally, David and Sian will lead the group through a themed discussion on the balance of these energies before a final meditation concludes the workshop.
